How our calculators work
- Official 2026 figures. Every rate, bracket and limit comes from the IRS or the Social Security Administration, and each page lists its sources. Our methodology explains how we calculate and check them.
- The math, step by step. Results show each part of the calculation, like a receipt, not just a total.
- Private. The calculators run in your browser. We do not receive or store the numbers you type.
- No sign-up. To keep a result, copy its link: the numbers are saved in the link itself.
- Estimates, not advice. They cover federal taxes and do not include state taxes or tax credits. For decisions about your own situation, talk to a tax professional.
